Role
Juan Mejia is an Associate Director and joined the firm in 2009. He is a member of the Media and Communications Group.
Experience
Mr. Mejia came to PJSC from AGM Partners where he was a Vice President in Media and Communications Mergers & Acquisitions. Prior to that, he served as an Associate in Media and Communications Investment Banking at Morgan Stanley where he advised clients on complex mergers, acquisitions, divestitures, leveraged buyouts, capital structure alternatives and debt and equity financings.
Mr. Mejia’s clients have included Intelsat on its sale to four private equity firms; Laureate Education on its going-private transaction and Bertelsmann on the sale of its North American direct marketing business. He has also advised Cablevision and Sirius Satellite Radio.
Prior to his Wall Street experience, Mr. Mejia spent several years at PeopleSoft as a senior consultant and senior sales engineer and also at Accenture where he was a consultant in the firm’s Financial Services Group.
Academics Credentials
Mr. Mejia received his M.B.A. with honors from Columbia Business School. He is a magna cum laude graduate of Virginia Tech where he received his B.S. in Mechanical Engineering.
