Experience
Mr. Marcus spent 28 years in high fashion specialty retailing with Neiman Marcus, serving as Chief Executive Officer from 1979-1988. Since leaving Neiman Marcus he has served as a director of three public companies: Lands’ End, Michael’s Stores and Zale Corporation. Serving as non executive Chairman of Zale Corporation until his retirement from that board in late 2007, Mr. Marcus resigned from PJSC in 2006 and rejoined the firm in 2008.
Mr. Marcus has also devoted considerable time as an advisor and investor in several early stage companies that built new businesses through the Internet, including: XcelleNet, Totality, Novo and 7thOnline.

Mr. Marcus serves as a director of 7 Billion People, Inc.; My Wines Direct and as an advisor to Newgistics and several early stage consumer product companies.
