Role
Craig Barnett is a Managing Director of PJSC. He joined the firm in 2011 and serves as a strategic advisor to his clients in the consumer, financial and information services and industrial sectors. In addition, he is responsible for enhancing the firm’s coverage of financial investors and asset managers. Mr. Barnett is also responsible for the continued development of the Firm’s non-US business.
Experience
Mr. Barnett has over 25 years of experience and has completed assignments in most major sectors of the global economy in the U.S., Europe and Asia. Selected clients have included Arcade, Barneys, Blackstone, Castle Harlan, Cayre Group, Century 21, Comverse Technology, Digital Equipment, Disney, Equinox Fitness, Experian, Gildan Activewear, GUS, IBM, Liberty Partners, Long John Silver’s, LVMH, Matsushita, McDonalds, Morton’s, Nine West, Orix, Parthenon, Reuters, RJR Nabisco, Shaklee, Shopko, Sports Club, Stop & Shop, Teva, and Tommy Hilfiger.
Mr. Barnett began his career at Lehman Brothers where over a ten-year period he had broad experience in mergers and acquisitions and in financings in New York, London and Tokyo. Mr. Barnett joined the Blackstone Group in 1994 as a Managing Director and was a senior member of Blackstone’s Advisory Committee with a consumer and TMT focus. He also acted as Blackstone’s liaison with the firm’s international affiliates in Japan and Sweden while also maintaining significant involvement in all consumer-related investment transactions. In 1997, Mr. Barnett joined Bear Stearns as a Managing Director with responsibilities in Europe and in the consumer, retail, luxury goods and financial and information services sectors. Mr. Barnett established a New York and London-based independent strategic advisory boutique in 2001.

Mr. Barnett received a B.S. degree from the Wharton School at the University of Pennsylvania.
